Blog Post #11 - Gradescope

This Blog entry is about a tool of my choosing.

Link: https://www.gradescope.com/

Description:

The platform Gradescope helps teacher, admin, and more to grade and save time through their platform. This works by scanning the work them submitting grades and feedback then giving the instructor data to analyze the grades.

Ease of Use:

I would rate ease of use a 8/10. This platform is created to make grading easier and more efficient for teachers. This allows many different features that help make a teachers life easier like providing data to see grade trends.

Versatility:

For versatility I will rate it a 8/10. This is because it works for many levels and many different subjects. You would have to make the worksheet easy for the site to understand but overall this could be used in many aspects.

Use it?:

I would rate this a 6/10. I don't think I would use this for every grading assignment because I do want to see my students progress and really understand their learning. If I was doing a multiple choice worksheet this could be helpful but short answer or showing work I would want to do on my own.

Conceptual Connection:

This could connect to the S of the SAMR. This is substituting normal grading for quicker grading. This can help teachers get feedback to students quicker and see data trends of learning.

  1. Hi Charlotte! I really enjoyed reading your post because I had no idea what the platform was before. I appreciate the fact that you included a picture for every piece of information you wrote and added the video at the end. Specifically, the picture under ease of use is so helpful because it shows step by step with visuals how to navigate using the platform. Thank you for the thoughtful inclusion of visuals to your post!

  2. Charlotte, I appreciated your post on Gradescope! I had never heard of it before but after reading your blog I found out how useful it could be for giving feedback on assignments , or even looking at class statistics to see how students are performing overall. I think this tool could be extremely useful to track student progress and to see how well we are performing as an educator based on student results.
