This blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PPT slide 1.

Description:
Youtube is a platform created by Google that is used to make videos and as a social media platform. This is a platform where people can share videos that they created. As an educational tool, Youtube has many different formats of learning such as lecture, self-paced learning, visual aids, etc.
Here is a link to help teacher use Youtube effectively:
Ease Of Use:
I would give ease of use a 6/10. While Youtube can be very beneficial it also can provide materials that do not suit the intention of learning. Because Youtube is created by many different users, it can often not completely fit the intended use. Due to the large amount of content on Youtube it can be hard to narrow down and choose a video that suits your classroom.
Versatility:
I will give versatility a 9/10. Youtube has more options and ideas than we can even imagine. Youtube was built to allow other peoples ideas to be out and shown to the internet. Youtube provides many opportunities and pathways to find what you are looking for. In the classroom this can be used for basically any subject or topic.
Use it?:
I would give using it in the classroom a 7/10. I would do so because like I mentioned earlier it can be used for many subjects and topics in the classroom. The only 2 concerns I have is the advertisements and the inability to fully find something that fits your teachings.
Conceptual Connection:
This week we talked about TLC. This tool can fit into the T (Teaching) part of this framework specifically T3 (Instructing). While Youtube fits into multiple other parts because of its versatility, I connect it most to teaching because it is another tool that can be used to teach and engage students. Below are a few videos that support this connection:
