This Blog entry is about a tool of my choosing.

Description:

Khan Academy is a well versed platform that provides teachers and people with interactive lessons in multiple different aspects. With K-12 lessons they help to educate anyone who goes through their site.

Ease of Use:

For ease of use I will rank this a 8/10. The initial website has a lot of different areas to navigate but when reading about the site it seems relatively easy to use and is managed by a drop down menu. This is also a non-profit and they provide free education to anyone anywhere fueled by donations.

Versatility:

For versatility I would rate this a 10/10. This site has lessons K-12 on science, math, grammar, etc. The list goes on and on and has many areas of study included.

Use it?:

I would rate this a 9/10. This is because it has a large variety of lessons that could easily be applied to my classroom no matter what grade I choose. I also like that they stand for education for everyone and they have a lot of impact on educating people everywhere under many circumstances.

Conceptual Connection:

This could connect to our TLC framework, T1 and T3, planning and instructing. Knowing standards can seeing lessons that can be implemented into teaching is a very beneficial practice. These lessons that are provided help teachers find new and creative ways to teach lessons.
